Tips That'll Make Your Day A Lot Easier, Parent To Parent.

7 tips to help you optimize your free  time

7. Try to keep everything in a particular place. This alone will save you the annual 30 min. shoe hunt before every store run.

6. Have a plan of action. If you unexpectantly have to make a run, your kid would be better suited if you two have ground rules for being in public.

5. Teamwork is everything.  Even kids know the war tactic divide and conquer. Stay a united front and you don't have to do the whole "what did your father say?" bit.

4. Invest in your kid's intrest. If your kid loves Dora The Explorer buy a few of the dvds. You can pop one in when you have house work to do for example. Deiago has personally saved me quite a few times.

3.  Plan things when your know you can. Don't try to do your daily exercise routine when you know your little one isn't due for a nap until 4:30.

2. Ask for help. Help is somthing everyone needs. If you have to, take a few minutes for yourself. See if your can arrange a visit with grams for the afternoon.  You need a playdate too you know!

1. TRY TO KEEP A SCHEDULE!!! If you know what time your baby needs things you are more equipt to plan your day around your childs activities. If you keep to a schedule you can keep to your own plans!

Making the best of a bad situation: It's over, what's next?

Let's face it, not every couple who have a baby get the happily ever after story. You both have made the decision to walk away but neither of you can walk away from what you both will have equal rights to forever.  The most important thing about this situation is making sure your child isn't tainted by this whole thing. You may have had a messy break up but there are still rules to ending a relationship just like there are being in one. It is never exceptable to argue , name call, or bash each other in front of a child. This could do a lot of damage to your child you may not see until later.  Secondly, stay in your neutral corners. If it doesn't involve your kid, it's none of your business. So who their date was last Thursday is none of your conncern. However,  if the  new relationship starts to get serious try to be cordial with the new mate. Letting your ex know when you want to introduce the new mate to your child can save a lot of animosity as well as headaches and arguements about boundaries. Overall, you both need to remember that even though the relationship didn't work out, doesn't mean that  the both of you can't be great teamates and even better co-parents.
